Guiones, Costa Rica

Guiones, truly the heart of the Beaches of Nosara area, is spread out in front of a beautiful beach with world class surfing. The winding roads of Guiones lead to homes and hotels, restaurants and businesses, all built right into the jungle. Guiones has a large community of ex-pat residents and second home owners, most of whom are surfers. If you are planning a surfing trip to Nosara, Guiones is where you want to be. There are plenty of lodging and dining choices here, and a little night life too.

Playa Guiones

Playa Guiones is a gorgeous, six kilometer stretch of white sand. Home to most of Nosara's hotels, restaurants and businesses, Guiones is sometimes the only beach vacationing tourists visit. While it would be a shame to miss out on Nosara's other beaches, Playa Guiones is a hard place to want to leave. In additional to its natural beauty, Playa Guiones has a fantastic surf break - popular with both beginner and expert surfers. At low tide Guiones can be explored by bicycle. If you head far enough south, you'll find several large tide pools that make for excellent snorkeling.
